Welcome to Edmonton’s

Centre for Early Learning and Development

A child-led, inquiry-based preschool where your child's ideas shape the day. Each child is seen as being a contributor, a unique individual with limitless potential.

Learning, Led by Curiosity

Grounded in the Flight Alberta Early Learning Framework and inspired by Reggio Emilia, our program lets your child's questions, interests, and ideas drive meaningful, hands-on learning every day, and children’s voices are valued and respected.

Located within Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in central Edmonton, our program also benefits from a close, collaborative relationship with the school's staff, giving your child an early, gentle connection to the wider school community they may one day join.

Program Overview

Morning and afternoon programs for children ages 3–4, built around play-based learning, STEM-based inquiry, and connection:

A children's book titled 'I Wonder' by Annaka Harris, illustrated by John Rowe, is displayed on a small black stand on a wooden table. The cover features an illustration of two children reaching out to a glowing, sparkling tree in a colorful, fantastical forest scene. To the right of the book, there is a decorative tall wire basket with a wooden frame. In the background, there are shelves with various objects and a dark blue wall.

WHAT SETS US APART

Learning You Can See

Through pedagogical documentation, learning stories, and our "living walls," you'll see exactly how your child thinks, wonders, and grows. Our educators listen, observe, and co-create the curriculum alongside your child, every single day.

"A place where every child feels seen, valued, heard, and supported."
