Our Preschool Program
A play-based, inquiry-driven preschool program for children aged 3 and 4.
Days Built Around Curiosity
At the Centre for Early Learning and Development, your child's questions and interests guide their learning journey. We follow Flight-inspired curriculum framework embedded in Reggio Emilia approachand STEM learning. Our program sees children as capable, curious co-constructors of their own learning.
Our Integrated Learning Approach
-
Learning grows out of what your child is curious about. Educators observe, listen, and build meaningful projects around real interests. Through purposeful play, children explore, experiment and form their ideas by interacting with people, materials and nature.
-
Children investigate, question, and problem-solve through hands-on projects, nature-based experiences, and STEM exploration. This includes engineering challenges, building structures or science experiments to make learning relevant and engaging.
-
Learning in early years naturally grows and branches in exciting, unexpected directions. Children construct knowledge by connecting their thoughts with everyday places, materials and people around them. We value these unique pathways and help children explore, co-create and discover new possibilities together.
-
Children express themselves in many creative ways, including talking, art, music, movement, play and storytelling. They learn about literacy by playing with sounds, sharing family traditions, and having meaningful conversations every day. We honor all these unique communications and culture.
Technology is also part of their world. We guide children to use digital media thoughtfully and creatively. Together, we help children explore symbols, words and ideas to connect with the world around them.
-
We follow SEL-focused curriculum that immerses children in social-emotional learning through art, drama, songs and movement and outdoor activities. In addition, we have transformed spaces into areas for relaxation and emotional regulation with sensory tools and calming visuals.
Environment As Third Teacher
Environments are integral to well-being and learning.
Our space is intentionally designed as a "third teacher"—thoughtfully arranged to spark creativity, collaboration, and curiosity. Natural materials, open-ended loose parts, and inviting spaces for art, drama, music, and construction give children endless ways to think and create.
We see materials themselves as active participants in learning, tools for scientific inquiry, and the means through which children test, refine, and express their ideas.
Making Learning Visible
You'll See Exactly How Your Child Thinks
Families see more than the finished product. Through pedagogical documentation, learning stories, and our living walls, families get a continuously open window into their child's thinking and growth.
Visible and responsive documentation shows the unique ways children make meaning and show their learning in multiple ways. These documentations help us revisit children’s thinking, celebrate growth and build long-term investigations that honors children’s voices.
We believe families are essential partners, and our documentation keeps you close to your child's everyday learning journey.
